Tailored Training
For in-company group training, we can customise the programme design; delivery format and materials. With a wealth of sector specific case studies and materials – we can fast-track the development process and provide a bespoke training package.
Here are some examples of training tailored for different sectors . . .
Lean Six Sigma
spans all sectors
At Green and Black Belt level, we offer separate programmes for ‘Business LSS’ (suitable for transactional / service companies – such as Retail; Finance; Logistics) and ‘Manufacturing LSS’ (suitable for Production focused companies in industry). The LSS ‘DMAIC’ tool coverage has been adjusted to suit the different types of business/operations: for example some techniques such as Measurement Systems Analysis are critical for manufacturing/production companies but not to transactional companies who are not physically making a product.
Design for Six Sigma
for product development functions
The world of engineering and new product development requires a specialist suite of modules – many of which would not feature in a DMAIC LSS programme. For example, techniques such as Quality Function Deployment; Design for Assembly; Value Analysis & Value Engineering are vital to us in the early stages of product design. DFSS programmes are usually delivered ‘per company’ as they need to be closely integrated with each company’s existing APQP or product development framework.
Zero Defects
aerospace strategy
Smallpeice has a long and rich history of working in Aerospace – with major clients such as Rolls-Royce; GKN; Parker; Moog and many more. Training for this sector is predominantly focused in 2 areas:
- Working with Leadership, Management and practitioner teams to develop and deploy a Zero Defects strategy – which spans all global locations, functions and operational levels
- Developing accredited practitioners in the industry’s mandatory AESQ competencies of FMEA; 8D Problem Solving; Measurement Systems Analysis; Process Control
